Southern California a Top Participant in National Clinical Trials Network
Kaiser Permanente Southern California has been recognized as one of the top participants in a national oncology clinical trials network.
In 2012, 85 patients from KPSC enrolled and participated in clinical trials designed and conducted by SWOG, a cooperative group within the National Cancer Institute’s National Clinical Trials Network. This marks the second year in a row KPSC has received this recognition.
Han Koh, MD, and Susan Nottmeier, RN, MSN, received a recognition plaque on behalf of KPSC on May 3, 2013. Susan is a Clinical Research Nurse III with the program.
KPSC’s Cancer Clinical Trials Access Program oversees oncology trials for the prevention and treatment of cancer.
Currently, nearly 250 Kaiser Permanente Southern California members are active participants in adult oncology trials.
