Research Interests

I study the behavioral, social, and environmental determinants of success after weight loss surgery and interventions in primary care for adult depression. My main areas of interest are health equity and the study of patient, provider, and system-level factors that lead to successful interventions for physical and emotional wellness. I direct one of the largest weight loss registries in the US used for both patient care and research. I also direct a population management registry for the KPSC depression care management program. I have a half time appointment in KPSC clinical operations where I serve on the regional leadership teams for bariatric surgery and depression care.
