Biography
Dr. Habeshian is a cancer epidemiologist and postdoctoral research fellow in the Department of Research & Evaluation. Her research interests include cancer epidemiology with an emphasis on women’s cancers, health disparities, and implementation science.
Dr. Habeshian’s research focuses on understanding the determinants of racial and ethnic differences in cancer incidence and outcomes. She has a particular interest in identifying populations at highest risk due to environmental, genetic, and biologic risk factors. Her doctoral work at the University of Southern California focused on evaluating the racial and ethnic variations in lifestyle and genetic risk factors for endometrial cancer.
In addition, Dr. Habeshian has contributed to several studies on cervical cancer screening and breast cancer survivorship as a research associate at Kaiser Permanente Southern California. She is a member of the American Association for Cancer Research.
