Biography

Dr. Casey Luc is an epidemiologist with research experience in HIV epidemiology in underserved communities. Before joining Kaiser Permanente, Dr. Luc was a health scientist contractor in the Syndemic Infectious Diseases Bureau with the Chicago Department of Public Health, where he led special research projects within the scope of HIV and STI treatment and prevention.

Through his role as an Epidemic Intelligence Service officer with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, Dr. Luc is expanding his training and expertise in applied epidemiology. He is working concurrently with the Pasadena Public Health Department for additional experience in the field. In these roles, he receives on-the-job training and mentoring from scientists within the Department of Research & Evaluation and from colleagues at the Pasadena Public Health Department and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
