Biography

Dr. Emily Whitcomb is a clinician investigator at the Kaiser Permanente Orange County–Irvine Medical Center in the Division of Urogynecology and Reconstructive Pelvic Surgery. Her research and practice focus on female pelvic floor disorders. She serves as the area research chair for Orange County on the Southern California Permanente Medical Group Regional Research Committee.

Dr. Whitcomb is actively engaged in training future urogynecologists in partnership with the University of California, Irvine, where she is an assistant clinical professor. She serves as an associate professor and research mentor in the Department of Clinical Science at the Kaiser Permanente Bernard J. Tyson School of Medicine. She is an oral board examiner for the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology and a member of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology Clinical Consensus Committee.
