Biography

Dr. Aniket Kawatkar is a research scientist whose interests are in understanding health inequity, the drivers of health care utilization, and associated economic, clinical, and patient-reported outcomes. Dr. Kawatkar uses established methods from econometrics, discrete choice experiments, and net benefit analysis to evaluate interventions and treatments aimed to improve patient care in real-world clinical settings.

Dr. Kawatkar’s research focus at Kaiser Permanente is in advancing methods and understanding in comparative effectiveness, medication adherence and persistence, cost and expenditure data modeling, health-related quality of life, and health utility elicitation in chronic diseases.
