I am a molecular and infectious disease epidemiologist specializing in bacterial diseases, with interest and experience in vaccine preventable diseases, including pertussis and meningitis. Past experience includes conducting and leading outbreak and other field investigations in the United States and internationally. Specific research interests include design, implementation, and analysis of data derived from surveillance systems and immunization registries; evaluation of vaccine effectiveness; duration of immunity of vaccines; and the application of risk factors studies and molecular epidemiologic technique studies.
