Dr. Cheetham's interests include drug and vaccine safety, medication adherence, health services research, and pharmaceutical outcomes. He has studied the safety of vaccines and medications taken by pregnant women. He has done research on the cardiovascular risks of medication including attention deficit hyperactivity disorder drugs and hormonal contraceptives. Dr. Cheetham is especially interested in research that can be translated into medical practice. He practiced hospital-based clinical pharmacy for nearly 20 years before moving into his current position as a researcher within the Pharmacy Analytical Services Department at Kaiser Permanente Southern California. Dr. Cheetham received his doctor of pharmacy and a master's in pharmaceutical economics from the University of Southern California School of Pharmacy.
